Manage Self

If you want to grow your leadership you must focus on managing yourself first. The better you are at leading yourself will determine who and  how you will lead others. When it comes to leading yourself here are a few areas  John Maxwell says a leader needs to manage,
"Manage your emotions"
"Manage your time"
"Manage your priorities"
"Manage your energy"
"Manage your thinking"
"Manage your words"
"Manage your personal life"
Leaders who manage the above areas will have a successful life. In fact if you want to be successful and always be moving to the next level you must manage yourself. Leading yourself can be one of the hardest things for leaders to do. The reason for this is that leaders spend so much time leading and managing others that they can forget to manage themselves. Remember to first manage yourself and then you will be a better leader and influence more people.
